Sometimes, to give the audience shivers, you have to go long-form. God Bless Mercedes-Benz.
sm70- why not Duesenberg?

I teared up a bit, actually.... My grandfather had a 1979 450SL in one of those brownish colors, and my grandma told me that when ever he would talk about it he'd say "everyone can make a car, but only Mercedes-Benz can make a masterpiece"
Apparently, he saw the car at the 1979 Frankfurt auto show, standing on a rotunda. He was on a work trip with a friend, and was supposed to fly home the next day. When he didn't show up at the airport at home in Belgrade, my grandma got worried, and phoned the hotel he was staying at. The hotel person said "why yes, he was here, and he checked out this morning! He said that we should expect your call, and to tell you that he will be home a day late." My grandmother asked "and why is that?" to which the hotel person responded "well, a Mercedes can't actually fly, now can it?"
Sure enough, the next morning, here comes my grandpa, rolling in, in his brand new Mercedes, that he bought at a stand at the Frankfurt auto show, beaming with pride about the new car!
